Corrosion in sea freight: What you need to know about it
For sea freight, we always recommend corrosion protection, as the high-quality machine parts must not come into contact with moisture. Otherwise, flash rust would develop.
The highest quality variant for corrosion protection is the aluminum composite hood. For this purpose, the machine is vacuum-packed, the seams are welded and desiccant bags are enclosed. In another method, the transported goods are packed in a VCI film. Then the air is extracted with a vacuum cleaner - the less air left in the film, the better.
We also include inhibitors, so-called inhibitors, which form a protective film. Other corrosion protection variants include spraying the transport parts with a special spay or even covering them with an anti-corrosion paper.
